WiFi / LAN
WiFi is a group of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) technologies that have become amongst the most popular in the world. Deployed primarily in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz ISM bands, these IEEE 802.11 based standards have become so ubiquitous that it is hard to travel in any highly populated area and not be able to connect to at least one. Like most data communications standards, WiFi networks are continuously trying to provide higher and higher data rates. This can be accomplished by changing modulation types, signal bandwidths, channel bonding, or all of the above. CDI offers products for WiFi networks from a simple low-power, low cost access point all the way up to a high reliability and high power network node that is deployed in a large “campus network” system.
